Help, little pimples?
I spent 3 hours waxing my car 2 weeks ago and looked amazing.
Today after coming home from work, i was just wiping away some dust and noticed, little rough pimples throughout the whole car. on the windshield, rear window, everywhere. these were not their yesterday, just came today.
I parked near a tree but a really small one, i couldn't imagine if it has anything to do with that. the little bumps are pretty rough and don't wipe away rubbing at them. they're shiny and look like tiny pieces of glass all over the car, hundreds of them!
What is it? and what can i do about them?
it was a sunny hot 100 degree day today.
Please help, sorry i can't give more information because i have no idea what it is.

tree sap maybe ? or the "gooey ness" from inside "tree leaves" ..
pictures sure would help .. and closeups..
regardless,
I would > wash > apply a detail spray liberally with clay bar going over the spots > re-rinse > re-polish
of course that's by hand..
if you machine, it will be different..

sounds like sap to me too...
at least you did a good wax on the car- this should protect your paint.
lots of things you can try- simon mentioned some above.
also good article here:

btw, hate to tell you this, but you will need to rewax after getting that sap off of the car.
you might want to invest in a car cover to keep this from happening again in the future.

Thanks for your advice, I googled it and found the same results.
But I didn't feel comfortable putting butter, wd-40, or alcohol on my paint, just couldn't do it.
So before spending $150 to get the mobile detailers to do it.
I tried it myself, left the car in the sun for an hour, took the car to one of those self-serve car washes with the power washers, just washed power washed it for 15minutes, ran my hand over the hood and trunk and all those little annoying bumps were gone
Than took it home, washed it 3 times, wax and buff.
Lokking beautiful again
I would post pics but i can't
But I'm very happy with the results.
Thanks for your advice guys.

If you catch this stuff within a few hours of it getting onto your good wax job, a simple washing will take it off. Seriously, just some water and a little bit of soap and you're golden.
If it's hardened, then it's more of a PITA...
