Default Headlights peelings?

I take so much care to protect my headlights, Zaino everytime I apply zaino to the car. Now it seems my right headlight is peelings, seems like a UV coating. Has anyone ever run into this?

Anyone know if this would be covered under factory warranty? Thanks guys.

should be covered by warranty...

strange- did you buy the car new? if not, i wonder if another owner put headlight protectants on the car (they are thin plastic)

Most modern day headlight outer casings are made of a polycarbonate material. I've never heard of them having any sort of "coating" on them that would peel. Is this your original car? I'm wondering if someone before you tried to put some goofy spray on thing thinking it will act as a guard against pitting or something.
I've always applied a layer of 3M film on all my cars when brand new to keep them from getting blasted by road grit. However, the 3M film won't peel like that. If it peels, it'll start at one edge and bubble up all the way across. It won't break up and peel like in blistering.

I have owned this car since day one. It looks like some sort of UV coating, like when gloss coat starts peeling on car. Its very very minor and noticeable, but my factory warranty is coming to expiration soon, so I figured I would have it addressed. Maybe something got on it while driving, I will try to hit it with some polish tonight first before jumping to conclusions. I figured maybe the lights have a UV coating or something along those lines.

I would try giving them a good polish with Plexus to see if the rest of the coating can be removed or stuck back down. This sounds a bit odd to me.

I noticed this on my lights too. It's not like a sheet that's peeling off. But something is flaking off.

I religiously put a synthetic (zaino, Menzerna FMJ, AIO, ReJex) over my lights and don't have any issues. I also polish my lenses every 6 months now too via a pc. If the dealer doesn't give you new lights, just polish them out.

I also religiously put zaino on my headlights. Best way to describe it is when gloss coat starts peeling, or blistering. I will get pics tonight. I will try the PC tonight as well, good idea!!
