Just got a bottle of plastX, gonna give it a whirl tomarrow afternoon, ill post some pics granted i can get em clear, the haze/yellowness isnt any worse or as bad as s2kattracks', well see!
I plan on putting some cleaner wax/sealant on afterwards, wont be able to tell you guys if it re-hazes shortly until spring time.

I recently cleared my friends headlight on her civic. That thing was heavily oxidized and hazed. 1500 grit sandpaper by hand plus my pc with SIP and Finishing polish did the trick and got it looking like new.

Gave PlasticX a go, the pics i have are pretty bad, iphone quality+poor lighting.
All i did was give it 3-4 times of some elbow grease with a normal waxing/buffing pad, i can say that it is cleared up, obviously scratches and such wont be any good without the sanding ect.
Put some wax/sealant on top of it, ill try to get some better lighting when i visit the car again, for 5 bucksish, i cant complain with the results.

I used the 3M kit on a 1994 F-150 (15 years old!!!) and cleared the headlights extremely well. Took me about 30 minutes, all said and done. Sanding is so much faster than polishing with a compound but it is also more "dangerous" if you touch the paint. I trimmed the edges with tape to keep that from happening and it worked fine.
I could see using just a polishing compound if the vehicle is fairly new and has very light oxidation but anything heavy is going to be much easier if you use sandpaper first.
