I looked at the meguires one, looks like it only comes with plasticX and a buff pad??? thats all? - some not as good as 3M one?

I cant seem to buy the 3m here in the UK.

Are they are other kits like the 3M one available?

Correct, its got the buffer and plastx.

I seem to have some yellowish crap coming back, so I need to do it again. But I've got yellow crap all around the edges still anyways that I can't get to because of the fenders, so I really need to pull the headlights and do it that way. I've also found some headlight sealents that I will be buying to apply after buffing.

Use some painters/automotive painters tape that is thick, I think its an inch wide? Fit the edge into the crack of the headlight and the rest onto the fender. Thats the method I used when buffing with a flex last week. Its especially easy on the taillights since you can open the trunk for putting the tape on.
(That method allows you to get right up to the edge of the area cause you don't want to have some unpolished paint around the edges filled with swirls, I'm no pro, just posting what I learned from people irl who know more what they are doing)

I wish I could do that, but there is no way I'd be able to get all the yellowness with that method.

When winter is over, I plan on pulling the headlights out and doing them while they are off the car and then put a sealent on them. Hopefully that will help.

I used the drill attachment.

5-10 minutes per headlight.

I will be doing this again, but I would suggest getting some type of sealant for after the polishing.

I am gonna look some up right now. I think Pinnacle has some products for this.

I may just get this,Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant. Since I've already got the mequiars kit.

Or you can get the whole Kit that includes the cleaners too. Bit pricey, but if you make yours look good, you may be able to do others and make the money back

I have not used any of the above, so I do not know how well they work or how long the protection would last. I may order the sealant, but in a few months as its cold here

Here is another kit that looks like it may be pretty nice. Comes with pads, attachments ect. Very nice cause it comes with the pad for each product.
