headlight housing cleaning
hello all,
i have just purchased my 05 s2000 and i noticed some nasty on my headlight. it looks like the previous owner didnt take enough care when washing the car. what is on my headlight casing looks like some water just dried on top of it. and its not just spots, it is like.. a little pool just dried up on top of my casing. is there anythign i can use that will help me clean my headlights to make it look pretty damn near brand new?
ive searched and searched, but i could not locate somethign that is safe for my housing. i thuoght i could use some type of abrassive, but i'm not sure i can.
any input would be greatly appriciated.

My thought's exactly... I've tried using Plastx or w/e, and Meguiars, I used plastic cleaners, and plastic polishes, and a multiple of them all.... and by FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR the best results, came from wet sanding.... you can tell when you're getting it smooth, because it first, it will feel slightly rough when sanding, but when it starts smoothing out, you can tell a difference, because the paper glides across, and I could even tell where I needed to sand more, because I could feel the roughness through the paper.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.

You can buy headlight wetsanding kits at autozone and the like for $15-$20 if you don't have all the stuff listed in that thread. I got one and it made a HUGE difference in my lights, they look new now.
