Butane lighter fluid works well to solidify the gum, which can then be scraped off with an old credit card, plastic knife or scraper. The liquid portion left will quickly evaporate leaving no trace/smell.

PB and Ice works well. If your worried about the oil from PB, put a small amount of fast orange into a wet terry cloth then fold it. Use the back of the terry cloth (this avoids fast orange grains from getting into the seat) to clean the area.
