Default Gum on CR seats....

So some dipshit decided to spit out their gum on a seat where I sat today in the office, in which I transferred to the tweed on my CR seats.... I tried ice... wasnt cold enough... left it there for an hour. Anyone have any ideas that might actually work? I was thinking dry ice or freon.

dumbo question to start this party...

what material are your seats? you mention tweed so i am assuming that they are cloth? you started out the right way.

Its the yellow part in the middle of the CR seats.... Feels like tweed... kinda... it is NOT the suede part.

i am wondering whether you might be able to try hair spray on this... mask off the area around the gum first. next try some of the hair spray under the seat to make sure its not gonna stain the seat. if all is well, go for the gum. very small amount, then pick off as much as you can and repeat.

goof off is another choice...
in any case test first, mask well and use small amounts

btw, your suggestion of dry ice is also a choice. just be really careful and wear good gloves if you go this route.

maybe those compressed air keyboard cleaning cans? might be able to freeze it with one of those if you can't get your hands on some dry ice

Last time I had gum on my carpet I used some bug and tar remover. Came off realy easy and no damage, but always try a test spot.

Isn't peanut butter supposed to be able to get gum out?

Good point. PB is pretty oily. I hadn't thought of that angle.
