megs UQD also has some carnauba content in it, so it's not the best prep either
Spec, I think that's incorrect. I'm pretty sure that UQD is a synthetic product, made to complement the NXT sealant. I've never read anything about it containing a carnauba component. UQD's professional equivalent is M135 "Synthetic Spray Detailer." Perhaps you are thinking of somebody else' quick detailer.

btw how do you guys tell if claybar is "contaminated" ? because i just break off half the claybar and keep using it. after about 4-6 clays i move on to the other half

Thanks guys!!! For me I did what some of you suggested, broke off a small piece and gently rubbed it back and forth!

Yeah, breaking it into small pieces is definitely the way to go. I've dropped the whole thing on the ground - and had to throw it in the trash as a result - only one time. Not a mistake I plan to repeat!

i generally kneed the clay bar and if i start getting dirty parts on all sides ill stop using the of clay bar and move onto the next one. i generally break a bar into 1/5ths

basically when its fully discolored ill move to the next one.

Ev,

If you ever have time when I'm free too.. we should meet up and I'll show you how to do everything to keep your car clean.. and the PROPPER way to boot .

These guys suggestions are correct.. but nothing beats learning hands on. From claying.. to washing.. to rinsing.. to waxing. There's all a certain technique to keep the car swirl free.

Hit me up if you wanna meet up some time!

Aaron

You should take him up on this offer for sure!

Aaron, I see you've got a 2008 - congrats! I've never seen Chicane parked next to Silverstone...is it really any different?

It's a little bit darker, and had a lot more flake to it. And thanks! Wanna buy it?
