Default glue all over my car

well tonite some god damn neighborhood kids decided it would be fun to add their own little touch to the s2000.

they glued trash, like water bottles, food wrappers etc all over the s2000 with a strong adhesive. well after getting all the crap off, adhesive remover and everything.... the paint is still marked. it almost looks as though the paint is running of my car now, kind of like its wet. i dont really know what do or if i can do anything. i suspect this shit ate through the clear coat. any ideas to remedy this mess?

let me catch one of these little bastards.....

Do you have any idea what type of glue this is??

Has it pulled up the paint??

Try a test spot and use WD40, it worked well in getting the stuff off for old pin striping.
Good Luck

You can use WD-40 or lighter fluid if the adhesive is on the surface. If its in the paint, you can try buffing it (depending on the adhesive)....if its anything stronger than elmers, you might have to give the old insurance company a ring, and expect a $6000 check.

That stuff is acrylic, and will most likely kill the paint. I know its now what you want to hear, so just call the insurance company. Maybe you can take a pic or two so we can give you better advice.

Assuming you've already tried the wd40,

Go to the beauty supply store and get some glue remover.. try it on a very small
and inconspicuous (sp?) spot

did you have wax or sealant on the car when it was done?? If so it may just pay off.

Most glues are not very flexible, so you may be able to carefully flex the area it's in, if it's a thick coat it may pop off.

My last idea, and a long shot, if it's not imbeded into the paint. Get some dry ice, use thick work gloves and be very careful... this stuff can burn you badly. put the dry ice in a towel and hold it to the glue for a minute or so.. again, do this in an inconspicuous spot.

Good luck, let us know if anything works.
