Default Giving my Berlina the works

I detailed my car a few weeks ago and finally got around to taking more pics of it. The protection is still holding up and water beads up nicely, I used 3m polishing compound and glaze along with some yellow wax that smelled like bananas. Without rambling too much, the detailing job my friend had me do involved waaaay too much product and not enough time working it in (literally, 20 minutes to polish the entire car, and another 40 minutes removing all the product). It was far from optimal. But it did give me a chance to clay the driver's side front fender which had this horrible rough feeling and waterspots everywhere. That cleaned up very nicely. Anyway, here's the pics:

Before:
Swirl city baby!

The problem area, it really doesn't look so bad under this light but it was like a permanent dirty spot

During:
I put it up on jackstands to cut down on the crouching. This is midway through the final wax coat (go susan!)

After:
So shiny!

The aftermath is that the swirls did not completely go away. I got my halogen lights back from loan and checked it out and yeah they probably weren't even fazed by their brief encounter with the polisher. After watching the how-to videos with the correct technique, I'm going to have to do this all over again :/ Maybe that's the excuse I need to get a PC and some pads. At least it cleans up good in the meantime.

Field trip!
