Wink Full days polishing...

Couple of pics from the weekends cleaning my rather unloved S2000.
Before I got it the guy told me he had spent 4 hours cleaning it.....rriiiiiight

Started with half the bootlid to see what I was in for...

Yikes.

Using Menzerna 3.02, Menzerna Final Finish, SRP, Jeffs acrylic sealant, and tried out the new Auto Glym HD wax.
Oh and a Megs G220 polisher with a variety of pads.

Couple more to show you just how faded and scratched it was...

Before:

During:

After:

Another before and after on the other side..

Me in action

Bonnet 50/50

Unfortunately by the time Id finished/given up the sun had pretty much gone so no nice refelection shots here but this is how the paintwork turned out anyway!

OK probably what I should expect for a 7 year old car but with 36k on it and two mature owners before me who only used it on sunny days it made me laugh!

Wow.

What did the previous owner do, clean it in a blast cabinet or something??

Great transformation. I guess it goes without saying that you like the Menzerna FF?

Looks wonderful. I use Zaino and like it. Has the collective wisdom of the board determined the product you use to be superior?

zaino is good gear also! Just found the Menzerna very effective on this paint anyway! And yeah FF really brightens up the red from all the cutting it gets with 3.02!
I also reckon he must have polished with a damn brillo pad too... I felt s
so embarrassed driving around in it the first few days I got it!
