Better protect that 04 before the chips start piling up on the front bumper.

I have the clear bra and love it. Custom applications can be done without cutting into the paint - if an installer says different then he's someone you don't want to touch your car. Dried bug goo and rock chips are a worry of the past. The clear bra is quite resilient to both (GOD I hate rock chips). There are liabilities to the clear bra but for me the benefits outweigh them. I'm not sure you will be able to find a vinyl bra for a "custom" front end but it's true that if something works it's way underneath (e.g. sand) you are screwed.
One alternative is contact paper (often used for shelving). Easy to remove and you can get it clear or possibly the same color as your car. It will look like crap but it will protect the bumper for a long trip.

I bought the Colgan Bra from when I took my drive from Vancouver back to Winnipeg. I think I may put it on for the drive down this weekend to the Adirondacks.
