Follow up question on Paint chips
I was reading that thread on the guy with the red s2000 that used the paint pen to fix his chips in the paint. And it looks perfect.
My question is if layered properly should the touch up paint level off evenly with the original paint so i would not be able to see any "Crater" like look where the rock hit ?
Or will I see still see the slight indentation ? I had a rock come up and go to the metal.
Thanks,

you have to fill in the indentation... which is pretty hard to do perfectly. so you fill it up then sand it down (to get the new look)
we have a thread on this- let us know if you want us to track it down for you (its in the how tos at the top of our board)

You have to overfill a bit and then lop off the top of the blob somehow...I use claybar now, but when I originally did it, I used 1500 grit wet sandpaper.
The claybar has an interesting side effect. Because you use it before the paint has a chance to cure, the paint has a tendancy to "settle" and shrink over time so you have to go back and level it off again a week later and repeat until you are satisfied with the blend.

Thanks for the advice of reapplying for a few weeks to get it blended much nicer.
I think this will suffice over time.
I think I'm going to avoid the Sandpaper at this point and stick with the clay bar.
If I let the paint dry as a blob for more than a day, how difficut is it to get it down ?
