homechicken have you had experience with any machine?
i agree if you can practice and take on the challenge by all means go with a rotary but if you have any issues then stick with a pc or flex and go from there.

I've had my UDM for about a year now, but I would say I've spent about a dozen full days using the machine. I am very interested in learning how to use a rotary though. I've been watching several videos and plan to practice on some junk yard panels. I'm in no hurry to jump right into it, but I plan on doing a lot of research before i take the plunge. Ideally, i would like to find someone locally to learn from, but I have also considered taking the CG class in southern california.
If i find that i simply don't have to time to learn the tool, I'll just go with the flex, as it seems to have a smaller learning curve.
Either way, I'm looking for a way to cut my polishing time down significantly.
