I bought one of these machines and I've had it for a few weeks. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet though. It's a really solid and well built machine. It's a little longer and heavier than a PC but much better balanced. Here's what you want to know:

9,600 OPM & 480 RPM

This is the top "speed" of the Flex. Top speed of the PC is 6,000 OPM and 0 RPM. Any load at all will cause the pad on a PC to not spin because the rotation is a by product of the orbital motion and not forced by the machine's motor. With the Flex, the pad orbits and rotates both motions are motivated by the machine's motor. So, put some pressure on the Flex and the pad will continue to rotate.

The rotation of the pad and the extra power allows you to break down polishes much faster and remove deeper defects compared with a PC.

The Flex does vibrate, but it's a much less "violent" vibration than with the PC. This is the best way I can explain it.

The flex is a fantastic tool for the more difficult polishes. IE some SRC and Heavy compounds. The pc can not always break them down leaving marring that is difficult to get rid of with out hours of work.

Because of the forced rotation the flex now has the proper tumble effect that can break down those trouble some polishes.

These things are flying off the shelf. I saw that Autogeek is sold out of them and has been getting so many requests that they stopped taking pre-orders. I believe they also said they're not getting any additional units in until next year.

Glad I already got one!
