first complete detail
After school finished I spent a couple days going over the car I bought 6 months ago. I clayed/polished/waxed previously, but wanted to go over it with the new porter cable. Also cleaned the engine, carpets, and everything else. Unfortunately it was cloudy out when I finished so I couldnt get any after closeup pics, but I managed to get rid of the majority of the swirls (probably 80%). I may go over it again some time this summer if I am really looking for something to do, but I'm pretty happy with the results. The car has just under 90k miles, and I plan to keep it stock (aside from alarm and head unit already done). Next plans are to give the wheels a good cleaning (in behind) and maybe paint the calipers black.
products were:
3m swirl remover for dark cars
Meguiars gold class wax
Raggtop
Gunk engine brite
Meguiars Plastx (window and headlights)
Eagle one tire shine
Mothers leather conditioner
Mothers back to black
shinetsu grease
Stoners invisible glass
Simoniz foaming carpet cleaner
Turtle wax chrome polish (tips and sill plates)
microfiber towels
porter cable 7424
If anyone has any tips for getting out those pesky remaining swirls, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the comments. To answer the questions, it was my first time using the PC. I wasnt expecting my arms/back to be so sore afterwards. Holding your arms out like that for hours isnt as easy as it sounds.
The total time was probably around 10-12 hrs, maybe half with the PC. I was using the white pad that the PC came with through the detailers domain group buy.

If you really wanna tackle the rest of those swirls, get a pad with light cut, like the Blue Edge 2000 pad, or medium cut, the Orange Edge 2000 pad.

Good to know. I used the white because I did a search and saw thats what a few people had used with the 3m swirl remover. I'll try one of those other pads.
