Default Finish Damage Fixed - Fuel Oxidation and Water Spots

The finish of my S2000 has had a rough 2013. I had some fuel spray out from the gas cap at a track day which oxidized the finish on a small portion of the rear quarter, small portion of the rear bumper, and taillight. Then I had the inside of my barn/garage paved which meant the car had to be out in the yard for a few days. Well my sprinkler system came on during that time and got half of the car leaving water spots.

Here was my regimen to fix it yesterday:

1. Wash with light solution of Dawn to help remove wax buildup
2. Polish with Menzerna SF4500 finishing polish, Lake Country green pad, Porter Cable DA polisher (it was my first time polishing a car)
3. Wash with Mother's California Gold Wash and Wax to remove polish dust
4. Wax with P21S 100% Carnauba Wax

Here are the results:

I have had a lot of experience with the P21S and highly recommend it, now I can add the Menzerna to that list.

I want to say 4 hours start to finish but I worked non-stop and it was tiring. If I had it to do again, I'd shoot for 5 hours.

You should give menzerna powerlock a try. Great sealant, lasts longer than waxes and leaves a wet appearance to the paint.

Nice. I'll look into that. I often find myself wanting a paint sealant for durability (especially when the car is out in the hot sun) but the P21S is just so darn easy to apply and has that amazing shine, only problem is it doesn't last as long as I'd like. It seems like Power Lock may have a shine to rival my wax.

looks great, id suggest to clay the car after the wash for an easier time removing the impurities.
