Default "fantastik"

I checked the website posted by wanabe and others in the past for "fantastik" and can't find this product.

Anybody have a site I can find the product recommended for washing the OEM Car Cover ?

Your local grocery store should have it. It should be with all of the laundry and/or housecleaning supplies. Maybe also a lowes, home depot, menards, etc.

Past posts imply this not the same product found at the local store and must be ordered from the on-line site ...

News to me - I think that any basic liquid laundry detergent should be fine on the cover as long as it doesn't contain bleach or fabric softener - it's not too fancy a material.

Woolite or Dreft (baby laundry detergent) has worked for me. I started using Dreft when I had a young un' 2.5 years ago. My cover has been washed numerous times and still looks good.

this is the one that they (honda) originally recommended:

http://www.clean4less.com/Product/Result.a...n-eqDRK%2094369

(but, not the original place where we used to get it)

and this one is not:

http://www.fantastik.com/

can it get any more confusing?!! how do they get away with using the same name?
same company too... i wonder if its just a different labeling?

-------

just checked my bottle and it has a different "owner" (manufacturer) than the ones above... so maybe it was created by another co and then johnson bought it?

the above products are made by sc johnson and by johnson-diversy. maybe its not the same company. confusing!

I think that's pretty much the same deal. One is bottled by their professional division for use commercially.

wanabe ... the above site only offers it by the case (4 1gal bottles).

If I try to "add to cart", it says "search produced no results".

Anybody have another source or other suggestions ?

Is there anything wrong with washing to top with the same car wash soap one uses for washing the rest of the car?

Thanks,
Richard

I use my car wash shampoo (right now it's 1z Perls) and my sheepskin mitt just like on the rest of the car.
