Default Factory chip guard yellowing

Towards the bottom of the car where the factory chip guard is its starting to turn yellow on my gpw s2000. Was wondering if a paint correction can fix this.

I can’t imagine anything that would renew yellowing vinyl….I would pull it and re-lay a piece front to back….even a vinyl wrap shop would do this…150.00 I’d guess or just do it yourself…easy

Is it just vinyl wrap that I can just peel off?

From the picture, I presume yes…but I am not aware of an s2000 that cam with a vinyl chip protector strip…look at the edge very closely and you will see if there is a lip or not…if so, it indicates a piece of vinyl….

Its not a vinyl. Its a textured coating under the paint.

Unless the paint is not factory, Im having a hard time understanding why that area would yellow. It almost seems like the paint soaked into the coating and the color of the coating is showing through. As a last resort, you could polish one area to see if the yellowing is on the surface or not.

Orginal…You are correct…it is textured paint or paint on top of a texture…my bad. Not sure how to improve it…start with some wax and maybe a light cutting compound…
