Meguiars NXT or NXT2.0 is a sealant and not WAX. It has no carnuba and fully synthetic. Reason why it calls it car wax because it pretty much does the same exact thing as wax. It protects the finish and does it for a much longer period of time then regular waxes.

Reason why Meguiars called it WAX and not sealant is for sale reason, they didn't want to confuse their average consumer and called it a car WAX where it is a SEALANT.

Some people such as me will apply NXT 2.0 (Sealant) first for Protection. Second step being Gold Class (WAX) that contains some carnuba. Reason I do it is it gives your car more of a "pop" look because Carnuba waxes make the car paint look wet/richer. New NXT 2.0 Sealant can last as long as 15 washes or couple months, where Gold Class Wax lasts about 2 washes or 2 weeks tops.

Reason why I told you to use Sealant on rims is because Carnuba waxes (Gold Class) don't last long and most important that they have a certain temperature that they can with stand... now you can imagine your rims get really hot and that wax will be no use after couple days.

Sealants can handle temperatures almost double if not more then regular wax and it lasts 4 times as long.... so it can be used on rims safely, and next time you wash your car that brake dust will wash away that much easier.

That makes total sense. I ended up buy a bunch of wolfgang products. I normally used gold class and have been very happy with it but I would like to try a sealant. Would Wolfgang sealant work fine with gold class wax?
