Sheeting will remove 70% or more of the water left on the car's surface after washing. It does not require any special hose attachments and is best done without any attachments on the hose at all.

Also, the blotting method of drying is really only for the most crazy of wash & wax wackos. It takes significant amounts of extra time to do it that way, but results in less marring of the paint.

As far as towel selection, I use the Cobra Ultimate Guzzle which I got from Autogeek.net. It's a BIG towel and I only use 1 to dry my car. I'll have to post a review of it soon.

Once you get used to how sheeting works, you can do it with a regular fire hose attachment... just open it up all the way so it's just flowing through and let the water slide off the car from top to bottom... there was a great video of Anime2k sheeting water off his car... here it is:

Recently I've also been sheeting with my fire hose nozzle. The trick is to keep it as close to the car as possible to avoid splashing the water.

Of course nothing beats straight out of the hose unrestricted....

For years I only used 100% cotton towels for drying then the absorber came out years ago and I swore by that, recently I purchase the Cobra ultimate and this thing rocks. I can do my entire S with it and then use a 100% cotton towel for door jams, under hood etc. Althouhg I still love the absorber, due to the fact I can ring it out and do multiple cars, go buy a Cobra Ultimate Guzzler.
