Thumbs up drove over painted lines

A couple months ago I drove over some painted yellow lines on a back road on my way to work (unknowingly). Luckily the road paint didn't really get on any of my paint, but it is now glued to the inside of my wheel wells/liners.

I'm unsure of what I should use to get it off without causing any damage. Any advice? Thanks!

normally your solution would be clay...

you can use clay on any hard surface, but not on any soft ones- some of the underbody is soft.

got pics of where the paint is??

be sure to throw this clay away after you use it- btw, this is a perfect use for any old clay that you might have

Just shot these with my phone cam. There's a couple spots on the rears as well, and the pass side isn't nearly as bad.

Please excuse the dirty rims... my baby needs to be washed!

clay would likely work there...
i would do your paint first- cause i see some small amounts there-

then wash the liner with a brush and maybe an all purpose cleaner first (actually just about any soap will work on this), and rinse well - i prob wouldnt bother drying it...
i would still use a detail spray or the soap water that you used (if it is clean- or just make new soap water) for the clay process (as a clay lube).
work small areas and work them well- if no progress then we need a "next" process, but i expect that this should work -

assuming it works i would finish it off with a vinyl protectant (assuming that i am looking at a vinyl piece).

questions- let us know, and if none...
let us know how the process goes

Thanks wanabe! As soon as I get my hands on some clay I'm gonna work on it. Hopefully it'll be this weekend.

I'll post some pics when I'm done.

That sucks Heather. Hope all goes well. The guys at your shop probably have some laying around.

Shoot some simple green in there, let it dwell for 5 minutes, scrub with wheel well brush, then clay, and wash.
