Does gasoline remove Zaino?
I applied 3 coats of Z2w/ZFX about 2 weeks ago. This was an initial application of Zaino so no 'base' coats on the car.
Yesterday, I overfilled my gas tank and gasoline splilled down the side of the car. I was not able to immediately wash-off the spillage. When i got home, I liberally flushed with water and used some Z6-Spray.
My question is, 'does gasoline remove zaino and do I have to reapply the Z2?" Note that I plan on adding another coat or two of Z2 to the entire car over the upcoming holiday weekend.
Thanks in advance.

i would reapply anyway... small area so no big deal.
i also would get what i have on my car- its a rubber device that connects to the gas filler and folds up. when you fill the car with gas, it unfolds so that if you spill the spills go on the device and stay off the car. got mine from griots- but you can probably get them other places too.

A couple weeks ago, I had an overflow that wanabe's little rubber thingy wouldn't have helped. I was at a gas station that still has the gas nozzles with the catches that allow you to start filling and walk away. I started the gas and went to check the oil. I was showing my 7-year old son how to read the dip stick when the gas started spewing out of the filler. The auto-shutoff didn't. By the time I ran around the car and turned off the stupid pump, there must have been a puddle of at least a gallon of gas on the ground. I went in to tell the clerk, and he just shrugged his shoulders and said it will evaporate. Needless to say, I pushed my car forward a good ways before starting it.
Anyways, the point of all these words is that if you find a gas station with the automatic nozzles, don't use them on an S2000. There's something about the tank and/or filler neck that fools the shut off sensor. This means that you ought to also pay close attention when filling by hand; otherwise, the overflow may get on you.
By the way, I wondered the exact same thing about Zaino after this little adventure. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to go back and put more on. I did give the car a good washing right afterwards though.

I'm pretty sure it does remove the wax... gasoline or other organic comounds do remove and dissolve molecules through many organic reactions, such as alcoholisis, etc.
I used to use gasoline to remove dirt and grime off of the base of my snowboard, but it would also remove all the wax on it too.
