Here's what the Shield clay bar kit looks like. I don't trust the liquid but think the clay bars should be fine.

Shield kit is a copy of the Clay Magic stuff. Box is the same, bottle is the same, and clay is the same. If it's cheap, go for it as Clay Magic is great.

Oh is it? Nice! I'll go for it! More bang for buck than the Meguiars honestly. I will use Meguiars car wash as the lubricant.

Thank you for all the helpful responses guys! Can't wait to give my baby the full detailing treatment

Good point. I'll ensure that I use extra Meguiars gold class shampoo with water as a lubricant as I think I'll go with that cheaper brand's clay I told you about. If it does leave marring, do you think the Meguiars polishing compound would work as it says, removes swirls, scratches or marring I assume before waxing?
After claybar some polish and wax. Why clay yourself a clean finish if you're not going to protect it? Polish should clean up any marring and then wax it or seal it to finish it off.

I found I like Clay Magic (it's a blue clay bar) or Mother's yellow clay bar. I had issues with the Meguire's white bar and found that for heavy dirt I like the other two better. If I know the surface is fairly clean already or for touchups I would use the Meguire's. I found the Meguires white clay bar was the least user friendly on heavy dirt or debris.
I see what you mean bout the Megs. Not sure if I can get Clay Magic here or Mothers. take a look at this local brand's clay and tell me what you think of it please (from face value I mean since you haven't tried it personally)?http://www.takealot.com/shield-clay-...t/PLID38161321
Looks the same I would use it

I'd use the liquid too. Just make sure to use enough to wet the surface throughly.

Mequiars works great and with two bars you can last two years or so unless you drop one. In that case throw it away and use the other. IMHO
