In dire need of soft top help
Ok so if any of you live in Southern California I know you've probably recently heard of all the fires in Yorba Linda and the San Fernando Valley. I live right near one of the fires that burned down tons of house in Sylmar. Also this weekend at Formula D my car got absolutely destroyed by ash falling on it in Long Beach.
That was during the weekend and my problem is now that when I washed my car today and went to work on the soft tp with raggtop cleaner, it still is brown even after letting it sit, scrubbing the soft top, and thoroughly rinsing.
I really don't know what to do. I have read like 5-6 threads on cleaning the soft top and I followed what they said in order to remove stains but my stains are on the whole top not just one concentrated spot. Is there something I should do to my top? should I try putting raggtop protectant on and seeing if it brings back the color? I really should have washed my car the day after the fires but I have school and work so I hven't really had time.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. BTW My car is an '02 black with original soft top.

If the ash has been removed by all means use the protectant, follow the directions. It might take more than one application to thoroughly treat the top and I'm sure you will see great results.
