A good contest in theory, and I'm certainly not one to turn down free product. That said, pictures don't do justice to a good detail job. Nothing beats a concours-esque white glove test, and that includes areas such as the inner wheels, arches and undercarriage. These are all areas I detail on my own S2000.
I have judged a few local shows here over the years, and it doesn't take long to get a grasp of where "enthusiasts" cut corners on detailing. Are the uppermost, nether regions of your plastic wheel arch liners spotless and dressed? How about the grooves in your pedals? Any left over grease visible on your latches? When presenting your car for judging, is the steering wheel straight? What about the inside of your front and rear bumper? Did you dress the rebar in the rear bumper? A little over kill perhaps, but for the true aficianados, a car is never clean enough!
