This was my customers daily driver that's in great mechanical shape however the paint was another story. At pickup the car looked cleaned but after further inspection at the shop I noticed a ton of sap on the car as its parked outside under a tree. Sap was on the paint as well as all over the windows. Let's say we threw out a the clay bar after this one. The car has never been properly polished in its 11 years on the road. So I went at this one with Power Gloss, PO203, and finished with PO85RD, since I haven't been giving Lusso any love lately I decided to finish off with it on this detail and I was very very happy with the results.

As for the interior it was in great shape, a vac, and interior wipe down with the usually got it looking clean again.

As for the engine that was another story, P21S Total Autowash was used to clean it up and Black Wow and Einszett Vinyl Rubber Care was used to treat the rubber.

Prep/Wash/Engine Cleaning
We worked on the engine first, (the engine was warm to the touch)
Using P21S and the Uber Boar's Hair Wheel Brush and Swissvax Wheel Brush we went to town on the engine






On to the car wash, using the Cam Spray Foam Canon and Cam Spray Pressure washer with Lusso Auto Bathe

After the car was rinsed off we cleaned up the jambs with Einszett Spray Wax

should we be doing the entire car with the PG then hit with a next polish then finish with the 85rd or are we suppose to do panel by panel?

still new to this. i am assuming entire car per compound then step

funny you should bring that up I find it faster if you do the whole car in pg then 203 then 85rd.

on this one I did the hood 3 steps , roof and hood and then I did the rest step by step i felt the later was more effective but that's me.

I do the whole car with one polish, then go onto the next one to do the whole car, and so on. I think its easier and faster. Plus you dont have to keep switching types of pads for each panel and polish step.

I used to do it that way, now I go panel by panel. It IS faster to do one step for the entire car, before moving to the next. My only problem is never seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Especially working alone in a hot garage with only music and polishers to keep me company. So I switched to finishing a whole panel before moving on to the next. Again, yes it takes a little longer, but it's just easier for me to finish a detail on a high note that way. So I know I never have to polish that panel again. It's just a mental thing

^ i feel you bro. I find myself doing two at a time. It's surely a mental thing, but it feels good to see some polishing totally completed when you know you still have many hours to go.
