Default Detailed the CR

I finally got the CR detailed. I have been too busy racing and working to get the CR cleaned up. But I finally got it done. Turned out looking very nice! I love this car more than any car I have ever owned.

ST Civic in the background perhaps?

The CR looks good. I dig Apex Blue. The metallic really comes alive when one has been nicely detailed.

Gorgeous. Great pics.

I have a question in relation to the paint. It's obviously swirl free, but I heard that Honda stared using environmentally friendly paint, which lead to paint swirls. My Si is a swirled mess due to this paint. Was the S2000 not a victim of this?

Your paint is a swirled mess because someone did something to scratch it. The first thing you need to do is determine how it got scratched. Something abrasive has been rubbed across the paint, perhaps when washing or drying the car.

Sometimes, dealer "new car prep" washes scratch the paint; car washes with brushes scratch the paint; hand washing the car with a dirty mitt or drying it with a dirty towel scratch the paint.

Honda paint is often very soft and scratches easily, but the fact remains that something scratched the paint; it wasn't swirled because it was applied in an environmentally-friendly manner.
