Interested in hearing more about this Meg's Scratch X!
Thanks for all the comments, I picked up the Scratch X at AutoZone for 9.99 and it looks like one bottle would last practically forever. For the scratches on the rear fender it took three applications of it using a wax applicator while rubbing it in a straight line for probably three minutes per application, this was after I clayed the car. The fender ended up perfect, the two scratches on the hood I worked on for an hour or so and they are still visible if you look hard enough.

I always thought scratch X contained fillers so after a while it washes off and the scratch shows up again. But it is definately a great turn around. Nice job!!

My 01 BB looks to be in the same condition as yours....

i was skeptical about scratch x but seeing how well it worked on your car i'll definitely be picking some up this weekend.

you did everything by hand correct?

Ya, I did it by hand. The deepest scratches can still be seen if you look hard enough, but its a thousand times better than it was.
I'm too new at this to not do it by hand, I'm worried I would make it worse, remember the scene from The Jerk with Steve Martin, that would be me

haha, same here

I picked up some scratch X this morning and tried it out on my driver side door. it seemed to make the scratches less noticeable but they are still there. I think with a little more time ( i only spent about 20 mins on it) it will get better.
