Detail of my 2001 BB S2000
Thanks to all the posts here, I have learned quite a bit in the last month or so since I picked up a 01 S2000. There were quite a few scratches and chips in the hood and a nasty scratch on the rear fender that I was hoping to get rid of.
I started with Meguiars wash, then used Meguiars clay and detail lube, then it started to rain so I moved into the garage. I cleaned the car with Zymol HD Cleanse and after reading good things about Meguiars Scratch X, I tried it on the scratches. I was pleasantly surprised that it took most of them out with a little elbow grease. I cleaned those areas again with the Zymol then put three coats of Zymol Ebony on the car.
For being a rank amateur, I think it turned out okay. But, I think what it really needs eventually is for the whole car to be buffed out.
Here are a few pics, it was really overcast, I'm sure it would look better when some sun
The hood before showing some of the scratches
After
Left fender before
After (the scratch is 100% gone)
A side shot while the rain stopped for a while
And one of the trunk, I never could get the spoiler looking good, any tips on that?
