Dash, Drying, Leather, Tires, Wheels..so many questions!
Hey All,
Thanks for help. Have several questions and looking for some help.
1. Was told by dealer to NOT to use anything on Dasha nd to just wipe it down. Also told using products on dash will lead to them cracking? Is this true? Last of all..what is difference between Vinylex and Lexol? Do you use both? Also..got some Armour All wipes..moist kind...tested them on wife's car. Left dash way to shiny and not uniform. Glad did not use on S2000.
2. Used an Absorber today..but found that I cant get all the micro droplets of water. Any trick I am missing here? When i squeezed hell out of Absorber it did better at picking up water. However still wondering if I am missing something here? Do you also use towel?
3. Was told to use a foam cleaner by dealer. About a dozen different kinds of tire foams at Pep boys. Way to confusing. All I want is something to give me a nice dark shiny tire..like when i bought the car. Suggestios please.
4. Wheels--just used elbow grease and same stuff as I did for washing car on wheels. Is this the best method? Or is there something I am missing?
5. Leather--Manual says use Saddle Soap..or something similar. Any suggestions?
Ordered Zaino polish and wash stuff. Cannot wait. Appreciate everyones help.

1. I also use Lexol Vinylex on the dash. It makes it look really nice while not being too shiny. Lexol alos makes leather care products, that I use on my seats.
2. I use the absorber too and end up with those microdrops. I'd be interested in any tricks to get rid of them.
3. I use Meguiar's endurance for the tires. It's the purple stuff. It smells great and the shine lasts a long time. For a deeper shine, just put on multiple coats.

5. For the leather, I use Lexol. I bought both the cleaner and conditioner.

The absolute best leather products are made by Zymol! I use the cleaner and conditioner once a month and my leather lools like new!
McGuires Endurance seems to be the best tire dressing and 303 is the best product for the dash.
I don't recommend using the harsh wheel cleaners. Rather, use Zaino's Z8 and wash frequently. Z8 is a great product and cleans the wheels with no problem as long as you don't let the brake dust build up.
Enjoy!

One trick that I've found is to put Z2 on the rims when you're doing the rest of the car. So far, subsequent washes require only a quick rubdown with a soapy rag to get the brake dust off of the rims.
