Default Covercraft Car Cover

I am looking not only at protection, but how easy it goes on and off, and portability.
Thanks

need clarification-
by protection do you mean from dust or weather?
if dust, you are missing the best covers!

I need an outdoor cover, especially from rain and snow.

The weathershield covers have been very good. good protection, lightweight, fold up easily and compact. The thicker covers offer more bump protection but at the cost of portability and weight. Inside the garage I use a Dustop on the S.

Could the weathershield fit in the trunk easily? Two of the hospitals I go to don't have a garage.

No problem, it folds up nice and compact.

What is a good one for dust?

My car gets more dust on it living in Arizona in 1 day then I think most other people see in 6 months...

Dustop works well. It's thick and protects against dings. I wouldn't use it outside in the rain though. It's also quite bulky.

Sweet, thanks... I'll look into it.

It rarely rains here so it seems like it would be a good choice.

Does anyone make a cover that just covers the top of the car? To protect the top and keep the sun off the interior? That way it won't scratch the paint either...

One thing to watch out for if you buy the Weathershield HD: The cover is held together with heavy-duty nylon thread. Those heavy threads are capable of scratching your car if left outside during any kind of wind. I originally ordered the HD cover and found that the threads resulted in slight marring of the paint surface. I took the cover back and got the standard Weathershield.

I would only go for HD if you have very extreme weather conditions.
