Cool stuff for your aftermarket mufflers
I was doinking around a Home Depot-esque place the other day and ran across this metal/cleaner/polish that I throught I'd try. It's called CLR and it's like a liquid paste. The bottle says that it's "as seen on TV." Not being a big TV kind of guy, I had never seen it. Well, I used it on my HKS mufflers and they look freaking GREAT!
Follow the directions and you will be loving it. I'm sure it works on any aftermarket mufflers/silencers.
Try it and tell 'em I sent ya! (so they can know to send the commission check)

Doinking=goofing off, killing time, browsing. This is in stark contrast to "boinking" which is something altogether different.

This is NOT to be confused with "GABOINKING" which has to do with causing dents and damage to other people's property.
Is this CLR paste made by the same people who make and market the liquid CLR? I believe that CLR stands for, "Calcium, Lime, Rust". The liquid stuff is actually phosphoric acid in dilute form. I use it for de-calcifying humidifiers. Does your stuff give the active ingredient? If it's the same, I might give the liquid stuff a try. I currently use NevrDull but if the exhaust tips are really bad, it's a lot of rubbing. CLR might be a good starting point to get the heavy grunge off first.

Hmmm, it doesn't say the active ingredient. It is made by a company called Jelmar and the actual name of the product is CLR Metal Clear.
Make sure to use it in well ventilated areas...
Holy crap, they are in Skokie...that's about 5 miles from here!
Good stuff, my mufflers look sweet...try it!
