Convertible Top Protectent - Window Slime
After a rain, my windows get covered with a coating of protectant used on the vinyl top. It does not seem to matter whether it is 303 or vinylex. Therefore, I wanted to start a thread dealing with this.
First, I apply the product (303 or vinylex) with a lint free cloth. After 15-20 minutes, I wipe off the excess with a clean towel. Regardless of the application method my windows get coated after a rain
I have used 303, vinylex and an einzett product. So far 303 and vinylex have the the lowest slime factor and both result in an equivalent slime layer after a rain. I bought some RaggTopp and will try this next.
What products and techniques do you use and what are your results? Has anyone tried Meguiar's new NXT protectant?

i used raggtop, and had no run off at all. and i made sure that i was applying it with a lint free cloth also, since i heard using excessive amounts makes the problem worse.
of course, for all those reading, there's a reason we say lint-free. who wants to sit there for an hour afterward getting all the white terds out of your top?

have used both 303 and vinylex on the s2000... i rub it on, let it sit for awhile and buff it twice- once to rub it down and the second time to make sure there isnt any product showing.
i havent had the runoff problem, but also dont get rained very often either.
renovo or raggtop would also be good choices.
