Eagle One Nanowax came in third. There is another thread, on the board with some impressive results. So I find it hard to doubt what Consumer Reports is doing.
The CR reports does not really show how much each product is in abrasiveness.

That's true in part but Griot's products had pretty mediocre scores none the less. Not really something I would consider. I don't Concourse and I don't have a garage, so I prefer the simpler waxes.
That's why I first tried Meguiar's Cleaner Wax about 12 years ago. First formulation for my Porsche 924S. That was a good wax. The latest interation of this wax did pretty lousey. Which is my opinion when the product was reformulated and came down in price.
I switched to Gold Class, which is really nice especially on a Spa Yellow S2000.
Out of curiosity I tried NXT, shinier, almost a glassy shine compared to the warmer shine of the Gold Class. Both of these waxes scored well below the top three:
Black Magic
Turtle Carnuba
Eagle One Nanowax
I know that there are much more expensive waxes and sealants, but I don't think that the difference would be that much to me for my use.
I plan on giving one or three of these a try when I finally go through the NXT and Gold Class open bottles.
Thanks.

I agree that Consumer Reports tests seem aimed at the masses that typically wax their cars once a year. Cleaning properties of a wax mean nothing to me because my paint surface is immaculate BEFORE I apply my wax. My favorite combo is 3-6 coats of Zaino topped off with a coat of Meguires #26 yellow wax, although I've been tempted to try out the new NXT wax.

and wouldnt replace it with nxt either- zaino has much longer staying power-
your megs over zaino sounds like a good combo-

NXT doesn't even come close to matching the look, clarity and durability of Zaino and is itself a synthetic sealant with cleaning abilities. If you want to top Zaino, you should use a carnauba like P21S, Souveran or Natty's. Personally on the yellow I think I'd go for Souveran paste (sometimes on sale for $50, reg. $70)
