Cold weather: wax coming off?
Hi all -
Well it was about 35 degrees F here today. They'd salted the roads in preparation for a snow storm that basically never came. So I washed the car.
Noticed something strange when I was finishing up. As I sprayed the back of the trunk lid down with some QD to get some of the inevitable drips from the taillights and so on off, some sort of substance came off the paint. Came off with the microfiber towel. I didn't notice this on any of the other parts of the car I'd dried - just this one part that I'd hit with the QD.
Was it my wax maybe?
In case this matters, it is (was?) zymol Carbon. Never seen anything like this before, and was wondering if any of you have.

never heard of wax coming off like that- if its wax its easy to tell- warm it in your hands, and sqeeze it-
btw, wax on your car should be very very thin
