Default Cloudy carbon Fiber Wing

Hello

I just recieved a 1 year old Carbon fiber Veilside wing. It is really nice but I notice the finish is a little cloudy.

When I put a little water on a rag and wipe the wing , the finish looks perfect and new.

When it dries its cloudy again.

Any ideas what I should do to remove the cloudyness and make the finish stay new looking?

Maybe meguiars plastix?

Thanks

What about a nice application of meguiar cleaner/ wax?

Would that help?

solreborn has the best solution...
and if you dont have a pc, i would borrow one-
post up a request in your local club. i suggest that you offer to buy the product needed and give it to them if they supply the machine.

second choice, would be to do the polish by hand. since its just the wing you might be able to handle it. an entire car would be murder on your hands!

i assume that you know that polishing is not like any other process- you really have to work the product and have to do it properly to get the right results.

Ok,

Well i am going to try it by hand this weekend.

I have the meguiar cleaner/wax and the plastix (which i use taking the cloud out of my rear window).

What would be the better product of the two?

quite honestly, i would not use either if i was really trying to get out the haze...
i would use a light polish-

something like 1z. if you want a meguiars solution, i would use #83 - the dacp by meguiars.

more info on that product is at:

I agree with wannabe... the meguires #83 is like magic!

We used a wetsand block on some touch-up painted scratches on my friend's Z3... and the clearcoat was very very hazy from the sanding... after 15 mins with my PC and #83, his paint was looking like new again...

I have the same wing man, and mine is doing the same thing. I tried the polishing on mine and it didnt work. So I have no clue what to tell you to do. I'm thinking of taking mine to my local body and getting them to reclearcoat the wing. If anyone else has a better idea it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
