Default Cleaning the windshield - Good Tips?

Anyone on have good tips on cleaning the windshield? No matter what I do, the windshield always has smear marks, like I don't get the glass cleaner totally off the windshield. It drives me crazy. Any tips would be appreciated.

I use Stoners Invisible Glass and Griots lint free towels (paper). The combo works very well.

i have tried numerous cleaning fluids and cloths...
my preference is any window cleaner (or just a washed car) and newspapers when the windows are washed with soap and water. my main tip would be to make sure to do both inside and outside.
in between car washings, i use griot cloths (lint free towels) and several window cleaners, but find that good old windex works as well as most with the griots cloths.

I just use a glass cleaner and wipe it off with a towel. When I used paper towels it would streak, but with a cotton towel it's not a problem.

I agree on the newspapers. This will eliminate streaks.

I use clear glass. It is safe for window tinting, and with newspapers does not streak.

Here's a hard learned lesson: do NOT use ANY kind of abrasive (esp. the softest steelwool). It'll royally fxxkup the windshield... don't ask me how I know.

Old Newspapers work great, and hey they won't cost you anything. It's remarkable what a difference they make over paper towels. I've used regular Windex and the Stoners (nice name ) Invisible Glass. Both work well, not much of a difference. The newspaper is the key difference.

Newspaper and glass cleaner work great as long as the window is somewhat clean. If it's really dirty, all the newspaper does is streak the dirt all over the window. Just make sure the window isn't overly dirty.
