I washed my S tonight for the first time in like 3 weeks, you can imagine the brake dust.
Eh, mine hadnt been washed since the car was new from what I can tell - so thats like 5 years! A little more brake dust than 3weeks I think, hence it required something a little stronger!

The links that you have provided us, will these product get rid of old stained brake dust on aftermarket wheels?
it should, for the most part. i have done some wheels where I had to use stuff so strong, that the company doesnt sell it to the public. i had to get it thru a contact.

Meguiars wheel brightener.

dilute 4:1. if this dilution doesnt work, try 3:1 next. so on and so on until you get the stuff off.

can be found at autodetailingsolutions.net
how does wheel brightener compare to P21S gel or diablo gel?

I know you have already found success but for the backs of rims, as suggested by slanguage, I use Megs Wheel Brightener 4:1 in a foam spray bottle. Start with a scrubbing dish pad, and a tooth brush. Then use a hard plastic or brass brush for those stubborn areas. Yes a wheel in that kind of condition can take 2+ hours to restore to original condition.

Well, for anything that nasty, I dont think those 2 will work. I have only used p21s gel once, on well maintained wheels. the gel clings well.

as far as diablo. The price throws me way off. Maybe in the future I will try it.
