The Power stick and a cordless drill work well for cleaning wheels in conjunction with your favorite wheel cleaner. My personal favorite is P21s.

Well, I got the Carplan Wonder Wheels stuff a while ago and finally got around to trying it today.

The result?
-Wonder Wheels
-3hours (ONE WHEEL!)
-A scourer-spunge & toothbrush
-A lot of elbow grease
-Autoglym Super Resin Polish
-Colinite 476 Wax

Below is the ONE(!) wheel i've done, this is one of the back wheels so the clean/dirty comparison isn as striking but its still a big difference. I'd say the remaining stuff would come off with a stronger toothbrush/rougher cloth/more time, but to be honest I'm happy enough - and tired!

I haven't either, so I guess I'll just save my money and use the car wash soap
left over from washing the car.

Got a 2nd wheel done this weekend. Another 2.5hrs start to finish (i.e. from opening garage to putting everything away). Man, its bloody tiring work! Leaves fingers pretty wrecked from scrubbing & controlling the scourer-pad on the back of the spokes.

Since you are on the other side of the pond, look for Bromoco Restore or Bromoco Wheel Restore. Can't remember the exact name. Stuff works pretty good, and would save you some aggrivation cleaning those wheels.

Hmmmm... never heard of that stuff...
The stuff I've gotten is working though and I've already bought 3products so I've spent enough to be honest!

This should be a once off thing really as I'll keep em washed normally a few times a year so it will never build up like this again so it wont need such a strong product.

Here's a couple of links for you on the product. It works pretty good, and isn't expensive.

Let me know what you think.

I washed my S tonight for the first time in like 3 weeks, you can imagine the brake dust. I used a little extra Meguiar's Gold Class car wash in the rinse bucket and a
different microfiber cloth....wheels came out looking like new! No need for expensive
cleaners that you have to wipe to really get all the stuff off anyways.
