Does anyone know if there are any products out there that can be used to clean and protect the vinyl roof - im currently washing it with Mothers Californian Gold when i wash the rest of the car - is this okay or is there something better

Thanks

You can either use Lexol Vinylex or Meguiars #40.

I recommend Ragg Topp Cleaner and Ragg Top Protectant. You can get them at www.autofanatics.com and other places.

I agree with Dallas, I just got the Ragg Top Cleaner and Ragg Topp protectant last week and the top now looks better than new!
Before I used the Ragg Top products, I used 303 - a fantastic product, but for the top I have not seen anything that comes close to Ragg Top products.

Sorry guys!!! Ragg Topp is for canvas tops. Use it if you like, but it's not helping the top at all.

Ragg Topp is a fluorochemical product. Fluorochemicals are used to acheive water repellency on many fabrics. If used on a vinyl material (our tops) and allowed to air cure, it will alter surface tension thereby creating the beading effect. It will not, however, provide any degree of uv protection. In all likelyhood, it will simply wash off during the next hard rain.
