Thumbs up Cleaning / Restoring Carbin fiber

Hey Guys, is ther a way to remove the sun damage, color fading on carbin fiber? I park my car outside and the CF really takes a beating. The hood is starting to turn yellow and cant seem to remove the water spots. any advice would be highly appreciated, thanks.

i would wash, dry and inspect
very likely that you need to clay and then polish... should be able to get it new again.

Some people just wont say what they mean......

The write up is enough without the pics, basically, I just used to treat mine like it was normal bodywork, wash, cut and polish etc

but then, I never keep cars long enough to see long term effects

There may not be a fix, unfortunately. From reading of the new Corvette ZR-1, sounds like this is one of those "nature of the beast" things that you get with carbon fiber. The new ZR-1 will sport some clear coated carbon, and they've found some sort of chemical additive to add to the paint so it won't do this.
