yes, you can use an apc (all purpose cleaner) or any mild soap...
for the cleaning part

but you still need the protection that only vinyl protection products can give (to protect from cracking and fading)
Got it, now I have to find a place to buy the 303 aerospace protectant.

I've been using the DP products on my dash and love the outcome. It's not shiny like 303, but a dull black. I use their cleaner, then their protectant. It's a bit of a PITA, but the results are great.

I used mild soapy warm water to clean the dash, grease and dust got cleaned up well, but the dash looked very scary afterwards, it has all these spots on it, it's like measles disease, and they wont come off, I did freak out when I saw this, and I thought OMG I ruined it, I found a local store that sells 303 Aerospace protectant, and I can tell you, it's like magic, the dash is suddenly brand new with this deep fresh black color, I am a believer now, it certainly makes a huge difference to use a proper product.
so is it ok to use the 303 Aerospace protectant on all interior panels or it has it's limitations?

what would u guys suggest for SPRAYPAINT on the dash? on my prelude there's spraypaint on the dash, i've removed the majority of it with a diluted rubbing alcohol mix, but the areas between the cracks are much harder to get to. any advice?

What about fixing scratches in Vinyl? I have little scratches in my Vinyl Secret compartment lid, from using a vacuum... I heard you can use a heat gun, and just hit it really lightly, to try and re-melt it slightly, and It did help dull them a little (I think... unless it's just placebo), but I am looking for a way to remove them entirely, It's just the top surface is scratched slightly. I've tried 303, Raggtop, and Armor-all on a whim, and none did anything (As I expected).

Any tips?
