Thumbs up Cleaning the dashboard

The Dashboard is not that dirty, it just doesn't have the deep black color anymore, it does have some grease marks on it. and some dust that doesn't seem to come off with dry cloth
What is best way to clean it in this situation?
Some water and detergent?
or
303 with some water?
I went to Autozone today and they have different types of 303, I got one and I posted the picture, it says Fabric/Vinyl convertible Top Cleaner, can somebody please confirm that this will be ok on the dashboard?

thats fine for cleaning...

what is most important is the preservative- it has sunscreen in it and conditioners:

So RaggTopp Vynil CLeaner should be OK on my dashboard? Im really concerned about experimenting on my dash. Don't need any spots left or discoloring.

Then again I can see years of protectant starting to make the dashboard look weird.

Since we are on this topic, how about hand soap mixed with warm water. Wet microfiber towel with that mixture and rub it in to dash followed by just wet rag & finish off with dry one. That method okay?

I use Woolite diluted 10:1 with water to clean my interior vinyl and plastics, and then apply a coat of 1z cockpit premium afterwards. I used to use Vinylex instead, but I much prefer the look and smell of the 1z stuff these days

That's why I use the Woolite/water mix--it does a great job of stripping any leftover protectants from the dash

Wait a minute...AutoZone stocks 303 now?

Sounds like I'm stopping by there on my way home from work today. That would be really good news.

Ok I'm having options paralysis right now, too many products started coming into this thread, as long as some soap with warm water is fine, then I am happy, if that doesn't work I'll try the rest of the stuff.
Not all Autozones stock 303, in fact the one I went to had only 2 types of 303, the one I got, and there was another for the soft top as well, that's it, their main products were the shiny armor stuff.

yes, you can use an apc (all purpose cleaner) or any mild soap...
for the cleaning part

but you still need the protection that only vinyl protection products can give (to protect from cracking and fading)
