cleaning 2006 soft top

nope- they are all vinyl
and if you use 303, soak a rag away from the car and rub it in really well...
(dont spray the 303 onto the top, cause you will get it all over the car)
let it sit awhile (i do the rest of the car) and then buff it with a clean rag (i usually do it twice to make sure to get the excess off)

Learned that the hard way with vynilex. Had the car baby a$$ smooth from a painstaking wax job, only to find drop looking spots on the car after I treated the top. Tried to wipe them off, and smeared all over the car. Had to rewash/wax the car. Biggest PITA ever!

Do you guys recommend the 303 cleaner before the 303 protectant
you do need a cleaner, but i find that for most cleaning- i just use my car shampoo on the top. and then use the 303 preservative (or vinylex, or raggtopp!)
so my answer is that you dont really need the cleaner unless you have a vinyl cleaning problem that your car shampoo is not handling.
