hey there again ive got a question, did you cover up your alternator and go to town with a garden hose and hose everything off?? Im still on the fence about using a water hose to clean my motor, Ive always used a bucket of soap and water to do it but never a hose. What was your process?

Not to take the glory, but I used to be that way. Sometimes you have to just dive in . I cover the main things, alt., battery, and air intake, if there is someway the water might get in. After that, just start washing, and the best way to dry it is to run the motor, as letting water set on top is like having an enginebay in a pool of water.

I dont cover anything, but I make sure not to spray tons of water on the aforementioned parts. In older cars, yes I cover those items up, but never ran into or heard of anyone having a problem with the S2k and cleaning the engine bay. And I just did the best mod ever, REMOVED THE FRONT PLATE AND GOT BUMPER PLUGS! Looks SO much better! (knock on wood I dont get pulled over for it)
