Claybar tips and instructions?
Well, I'll be taking the Zaino plunge soon. I've seen many posts that recommend using claybar first and wondered if any of you "detailing experts" have tips on this part of the process...it's the part I'm most concerned about 'cuz I had never heard of it much less used it. My S is black and it still looks pretty good, but I want to achieve the ultimate finish. Thanks in advance to all who respond!

Begin by giving the car a thorough wash with Dawn. It is very important to keep the surface well lubricated while using Clay Bar. Lubricant mix instructions will be in the container.
Use straight line motions and very light pressure...let the clay bar do the work. You will probably hear and feel clay bar removing contaminants from the surface. Work the section until it is absolutely slick, then wipe with a cotton towel and move to the next section. I use a bumper to bumper motion on the hood, etc., and vertical on the sides. Clay Bar can be used on any smooth surface.
It would be wise to put a towel or sheet on the floor next to the area you are working. If you drop the bar (there are those who have and those who will) it will fall onto the towel/sheet and not on to the floor where it will become contaminated.
Wash the car again after you finish claying to remove any residue left by the bar. Then you're ready to begin applying polish.
