clay magic
anybody use this before? how is it compared to the blue? i know it's more aggressive... swirls/marring not concerned about... will this start taking off paint? i clay with the fk1 decontamination kit and plan to do it on a 2001 integra that's never seen a detail in it's life with the RED bar. thanks~!

not me... just replying to move this up
have never had a love for any particular clay. to me clay is clay- prob cause i have been lucky not to use any junk clays. and if clay doesnt fix my problem, i have found it wasnt a clay solution to start with!!
again, just my 3 cents since i have not used clay magic

What is prompting you to use the red? Is there significant overspray? Is there a lot of contamination? I always advise starting with something light and moving to heavy, i.e. start with blue and then use red if you don't like the results.

i also want to see how much MORE abrasive this stuff is vs. the blue. i cannot find information on the red. WHY? maybe it's because people had success with blue and didn't need red? (1) reason... maintenance. the paint on this vehicle has not been maintained.

A good clay bar that is a workhorse is the DP universal clay bar. Probably safer than clay magic red. I used it to remove yellow road paint on an Acura MDX. Use a dedicated QD like Meg's. The chemicals from the decon kit might eat away at your clay.
Not too many people use aggressive clay, as most of the time it's not needed. I use mostly soft clays, and they seem to work ok for me.
Meguiar's, DP, Sonus, Swissvax, and Gliptone are the current clays I own, and all work good.
