Clay lube
Got a kit of 100gm claymagic and 12oz bottle of clay magic lube the other week.. well i clayed the S but I had to pretty much use the entire bottle on the car.. I have to clay my other car this week and was wondering if it would be okay to use some Mother's clay lube with the clay magic bar. I heard that clay is all the same so I would assume that you could use any kind of clay lube. whether clay magic or mothers. thanks guys -david

Sounds good. Thats $10 saved. When I washed the car last week, I didnt dry the car immediately but used the water on the car as extra lube.. Worked very well. i think i might buy a clay magic 200gm bar today so i can cut it up.. I came pretty close to dropping the clay last week.

When you're washing your car, put the clay in a ziplock bag, then place into your pocket. By the time you're ready to clay your car, the clay will be eaven softer. Much easier to work with and IMO does a better job.

I was at California Car Cover Co. main store today in Chatsworth, CA and the guy told me someone from a care care company gave a demonstration on how to "warm up" the clay. He told me to stretch it out for a few minutes. Makes the clay well prepped for use.

I clayed my car today and I feel that it really makes the car look good when you are done.
The only advice I can give would be is to make sure that its not too hot outside cause the clay will smear all over the paint and it'll be a pain in the butt to get off.

You can also fill your empty spray bottle with water and a squirt of dishsoap (preferably Dawn). It'll also help stripping any wax you've got left on the car.
