Clay Bar with car Cleaner...
A co-worker of mine told that instead of doing the clay bar with the supplied detailer spray, he said to wash and dry the car first. Then when washing the second time, use the soapy water as the lubricated solution, rather than the wax.
Is that suggested or ok to do?
Thanks,
Andre

andre- your answer is yes
my tip of the day:
in fact, my preference for clay lubricant is foam... i use my shampoo foamer for claying. it lays down a nice coat of soap- it seems to me that the claying goes more quickly. you do want to be in the shade, work quickly, refoam often and rinse each area when finished.
btw, you dont have to dry the car after the first wash- just wash it really well, rinse it well and then foam and clay... i know that lotsa guys do dry it first- but i dont.
i do wash it again and then i dry it, after the claying is finished.
